Christian yoga for Christian runners

Christian yoga and running have a lot in common. Both require
practice, agility, flexibility, dedication, patience and your own breathing method.

Runners’ most frequent physical complaints are of sore feet, bad backs and knees, tight hamstrings and hips. Christian yoga has the ability to help all of us get better – better in terms of healing and rehabilitation, better in terms of strength and flexibility, better in terms of the elimination of pain.

The pain most runners feel is not from the running in and of itself, but
from imbalances that running causes and exacerbates. If you bring your
body into balance through the practice of Christian yoga, you can run long and hard for years to come.

And most important, don't forget about the mental drive every runner needs just to keep going. With the closer connection and reliance on God you will develop through Christian yoga, finding that drive will become a whole lot easier.

Although Christian yoga and running lie on opposite ends
of the exercise spectrum, the two need not be mutually exclusive. In
fact, running and Christian yoga make a good marriage of strength and flexibility.
